Echelon Pathways Foundation is a new organization born out of being frustrated with frustration.   Education today has many challenges in how it functions political and cultural clashes around curriculum, and how to apply technology.

  • We FEEL the frustration in our own lives

And so, frustration become motivation; Echelon Pathways Foundation is formed.  We firmly believe that a different approach can calm the environment while also providing WIN/WIN opportunities for learners to excel.

  • WE ARE EXCITED to bring new curriculums that flex with family cultures while maintaining a common structure.

Collectively, the name means “the basis for learners to choose how to level-up their mind”.

ECHELON is a word with a few different meanings.   Originating from the Latin word scala simply meaning ladder, over time it grew through a few different nationalities to mean rung of a ladder, step, grade or level and then ultimately to mean level within an organization.   We have all heard the reference to upper echelons to discuss people in higher levels of rank or skill.

PATHWAYS is seemingly obvious as a core principal of EPF is the ability to choose many different options within the educational landscape.   Within our platform, the options range from traditional high-level concepts to small and nuanced details.   Examples of high-level concepts would be choosing between courses such as Biology vs Chemistry.   Examples of small detail pathways choices such as within a course, alternative content could be selected for a given exercise or lesson.

FOUNDATION is strangely the part that could be misleading, depending on your background or perspective.   From a traditional non-profit organization view, foundations are usually privately funded organizations with the purpose of distributing philanthropic efforts.   However, for EPF, foundation  is meant to reflect our research and subsequent platform to be the foundation of a whole new educational approach.
